Craig Caldicott Lawyers are here to talk (and walk) you through what to expect when you go to Court.
CRAIG CALDICOTT LAWYERS – An Introduction
Craig Caldicott Lawyers is a boutique law firm specialising in Criminal Defence matters. Craig established the business in 2023 and hasn’t looked back since.
With over 60 years’ combined experience in the law, Craig Caldicott Lawyers are here to help people charged with criminal offences navigate the complex legal system.
Our Team:
Craig Caldicott
Craig Caldicott, the namesake of the business, was admitted to practice in 1979. He’s a well-known name in the Criminal Defence business, and his reputation is second to none.
Craig has acted in many high-profile cases throughout his years, including travelling to the Ukraine during the War Crimes trials in the early 1990s.
More recently, Craig was Counsel in the matter of Campbell, the Lamborghini case which sadly resulted in the death of Sofia Naismith; and he has also been involved in many AN0M related matters, including challenging the legal validity of the whole AFP operation.
Craig’s name is synonymous with hard work and good results. When he’s not working hard for his clients, Craig enjoys relaxing at home by his pool with his best mate Billie the Groodle, and spending time at his local Surf Life Saving club, where he is a life member.
Perhaps Craig’s crowning glory is his Order of Australia Medal, bestowed upon him in 2023, which he received for his services to Surf Life Saving.
Emily Cousins
Emily was admitted to practice in 2014 and has worked with Craig ever since.
Don’t let Emily’s relative youth fool you, she has the experience and knowledge of a much more seasoned solicitor. In her eleven years, Emily has worked with some of the state’s best Barristers on many high-profile and difficult cases, including the Adelaide Cheerleader charged with and found not guilty of sexual offending; the media-described ‘cult leader’; and somewhere between ten to fifteen murder allegations.
Emily is also one of the leading practitioners in Criminal Asset Confiscation, which complements her criminal practice nicely.
Emily isn’t a morning person, but you’ll find her at the gym after work and consuming all things arts on the weekends (her guilty pleasure is music theatre!).
A recipient of the Doyle’s Guide Rising Star (twice), and Best Lawyers more recently, Emily has been widely recognised for her expertise in Criminal Defence.
Taylor Falting
Taylor began working for Craig through a family connection in 2017 and she never left.
Taylor originally wanted to be a Physiotherapist, but we’re glad she changed course in Uni to do a law degree. Taylor has proven to be a hard-working, empathetic solicitor who is able to connect with all clients. She attributes this empathy to a recent dabble in Family Law where she experienced a very different way of working. Taylor now practises in Criminal Defence (like the rest of our lawyers) and has developed into a trusted member of the profession.
Another recipient of the Doyle’s Guide Rising Star in Criminal Law, an achievement of which Taylor is extremely proud. Taylor was also recognised by The Advertiser in their Young Guns article of 2025.
When she’s not kicking goals in the Courtroom she is likely chilling with her family or out on a road trip. Taylor is Craig Caldicott Lawyers’ energiser bunny, she just keeps going!
Nathan Ramos
Nathan is new to practising in Criminal Defence, but he has taken to it very well.
Before coming to Craig Caldicott Lawyers, Nathan worked in policy at the Law Society of South Australia. It is through that work that Nathan and Craig connected (Craig is also the Co-Chair of the Law Society’s Criminal Law Committee).
When Nathan decided he wanted to go into practice, it was a natural choice. Nathan has been thrown into the deep end and is thriving; watch this space for another well-respected Criminal Defence Lawyer!
On the weekends, Nathan can sometimes be found on a long bike ride or admiring his back lawn with a beer in hand.
Admin Team
It would be remiss of us not to mention our administration team. They are the glue that holds Craig Caldicott Lawyers together: Chris, Kelly, Campbell and our brand-new receptionist Adele.
Without this team, our lawyers wouldn’t be able to provide the high-quality service that we do. When calling our office, or attending for an appointment, you’ll speak with one of our admin team who go the extra mile to ensure you are well looked after.
Whilst we know that seeing a Criminal Defence lawyer is a nerve-wracking experience, we try our best to make you comfortable and talk you through the whole process.
If you need help with a criminal matter, contact us today on (08) 7095 3440.
